Good ergonomics are critical to preventing work-related injuries as well as increasing employee comfort and productivity. When poor ergonomic design and work duties exceed the body's capabilities, the result can be a musculoskeletal disorder (MSD). To avoid MSDs, the physical capabilities of the worker should not be exceeded.
